I'd like to start today's post by saying that I think you are all absolutely wonderful! It's been lovely to see you all enjoying meeting fellow Australia bloggers and going to "comment-town"! I also want to apologise for not getting out to your blogs and commenting as regularly this week, it's been a bit full-on maintaining this site, my own personal site and, that's right, being a parent & wife (whoopsie!!!) but I am getting the hang of balancing it all!! You've all been wonderful however and I am so excited to have met so many new blog-friends!

Now it's Saturday and it's time for something different. Where do you find yourself this Saturday morning? I don't know about you but when I think of Saturday mornings I think of lazy sleep-ins, newspapers, cooked brekkie, and perhaps a gentle stroll. (Yes, 'Saturday Morning Sport' is not my world just yet!) So it's blogland but let's do the same here! Come take a stroll with me...

If you feel like a tasty treat for brekkie you might like to check out The Breakfast Blog. This reviewer is from Melbourne and now lives in America but you can review breakfast spots by location and he does review places from around Australia. The Happy Husband and I have had quite a few tasty brekkies following these reviews!

Once you're feeling full you may like to take a walk with me to The Australian Index This website indexes all Aussie blogs and is (another) great way to direct traffic to your site. Maybe while you catch up on all the news online you can list your blog on the index. If you do, please let me know in the comments & tell me how you find it.

Enjoy your day my new friends! Let me know that you're hear by leaving a comment! If you've got an idea of where we can stroll to next Saturday send me an email at thebloggingaussie.at.gmail.com - I'd love to hear from you!

See you tomorrow!

p.s. how embarrassment! I wrote "hear" instead of "here"...hope you'll forgive me!

Where am I on a Saturday morning?

First off I am publicising my weekly PhotoHunt entry on my blog, Kaleidoscope. This week's theme is "sad" and I'm posting about seeing the bonsai at Floriade and that I'm sad Floriade only lasts a month each year.

Then at 10am, I am in a weekly Digital Scrapbook Place chat run by New Zealand designer, Erica Belton. I used Erica's designs this week for my PhotoHunt post.

Later on, I'll make a new batch of ice cream - blackberry and raspberry. Wonder how that will turn out?

Oh I just got up - err 11.30am. So I guess the morning has gone already.

This afternoon I am going to do some cooking (and cleaning but forget that bit) - gingerbread courtesy of a recipe I found on a blog. I love the food blogs so catching up with the Breakfast blog was good.

This is such a good idea Louisa - I never knew about a lot of these blogs. Also I have never see the Australian Index before either and its laden with blogs.

Have a great weekend everyone. And Leslie, that ice cream sounds good!!!

Howdy Louisa

Thanks for the heads up re Australian Blog Index - been over and easy to regsiter. They need a nice side bar button as the code only with words is BORING.

As to my day - started at 5.15am courtsey of Darling Boy. I am now at work - I do a Mon to Thursday week - have Friday off to 'mother' and then do a Saturday or Sunday ...

Lots of nice, quiet headspace on a Saturday - no phones, no one else here - just to be offical - I am on 'lunch' now - cheers le

Well i'm a bit late! It's late Saturday night and i have had a day of exercise! Bike ride to the gym, 2 classes and Bike Ride back, all offset by way too many lollies while watching a DVD tonight. It all evens out in the end.

I'm even later! Had a fantastic day catching up with friends visiting from Sydney. We wandered into Alexandra Gardens and discovered a music/arts festival with some awesome folky bands playing. All free so we sat on the grass in the sun and enjoyed a gorgeous day.

And we ate our way around the city and St Kilda. I may never need to eat again.
