I am assuming that we are all here because we enjoy blogging and want to grow the readership of our own blogs at the same time as getting to meet fellow bloggers, in our case - Aussie bloggers.

There are some great tools out there to help us with this and today I am going to share a couple of new resources with you.

BlogCoach is a blog that should be on all your blogrolls/readers. Not only is this a great blog but they are also having a Stumble-a-thon which you might enjoy taking part in and may find yourself with some more readers. You'll have to sign up for the forums but I've found some great blogs and am enjoying being part of the "stumbles".

Speaking of, are you using Stumbleupon? I've just started this week and think it's great. Takes a bit of time to get the hang of it but if you have any questions just shoot me an email or leave a comment here. If you're interested we'll do a few weeks on this to help those who want to get the hang of it.

Intro to Stumbleupon

Visit the site www.stumbleupon.com
Download (it's not a big download and will download quickly)
Once downloaded you'll have the Stumble toolbar in your browser.

First Stumble lesson:

Once you've done the above you're up and running. Now, when you visit fellow WTBAY blogs and others you love click on the speechbubble image in the Stumble browser you've just downloaded (which will be sitting just below your normal web toolbar). When you click you'll be able to 'stumble' the page, leaving a positive comment and you'll be 'stumbling' a friends blog to the world...ie giving them some BIG lovin' in the blogging community. It's a great feature to have for your own blog and also a great way to help promote other people's blog too!

Yesterday I gave brief mention to a blog that's trying to help quality, under-appreciated bloggers get more readers and I can see that a couple of you have joined in but thought it probably deserved a bit more mention here. Loathe as I am to direct you away from WTBAY I think you're a pretty faithful bunch and you might enjoy a bit more addiction fun in your lives!


Chuck Westbrook is helping quality, underappreciated bloggers find new readers, much like WTBAY and SITS however he will be drawing these blogs from all over the place, not just those who sign up. It may or may not be your thing but I am looking forward to making some more bloggy friends. If you join in and see a fellow Aussie around the place make sure you tell them about WTBAY!

I know that not all of us are parents but I am so I thought today I'd share with you a great website including a freebie opportunity for those living near Brisbane (appropriate given how many Queenslanders there are amongst you!)

Babys Got Style is a great site for buying gorgeous items for kids. I recently bought some super cute Oobi clothes for LP and found that they sent them in this gorgeous reusable bag - perfect for my nappy bag.

They have a great article on taking photos of kids. If you check out this link you will find that those living in the Brisbane area can get themselves a free 6x8" photo of they child/ren for enquiring with a professional photographer in the area. Check it out.

I'd like to start today's post by saying that I think you are all absolutely wonderful! It's been lovely to see you all enjoying meeting fellow Australia bloggers and going to "comment-town"! I also want to apologise for not getting out to your blogs and commenting as regularly this week, it's been a bit full-on maintaining this site, my own personal site and, that's right, being a parent & wife (whoopsie!!!) but I am getting the hang of balancing it all!! You've all been wonderful however and I am so excited to have met so many new blog-friends!

Now it's Saturday and it's time for something different. Where do you find yourself this Saturday morning? I don't know about you but when I think of Saturday mornings I think of lazy sleep-ins, newspapers, cooked brekkie, and perhaps a gentle stroll. (Yes, 'Saturday Morning Sport' is not my world just yet!) So it's blogland but let's do the same here! Come take a stroll with me...

If you feel like a tasty treat for brekkie you might like to check out The Breakfast Blog. This reviewer is from Melbourne and now lives in America but you can review breakfast spots by location and he does review places from around Australia. The Happy Husband and I have had quite a few tasty brekkies following these reviews!

Once you're feeling full you may like to take a walk with me to The Australian Index This website indexes all Aussie blogs and is (another) great way to direct traffic to your site. Maybe while you catch up on all the news online you can list your blog on the index. If you do, please let me know in the comments & tell me how you find it.
